NOSFERATU POSTER RELEASE
The year of 2025 looks set to kick off in grand and gothic fashion with the release of Robert Eggers' eagerly anticipated NOSFERATU. After the full-blooded historical hi-jinx of THE NORTHMAN, Eggers’ return to the horror genre will be released in the UK on January 1st by Universal Pictures.
After an evocative teaser trailer we now get the official poster to tide us over until the festive season. While still keeping Bill Skarsgård’s appearance as the titular figure in the shadows this still offers a tantalising hint of what he and Eggers have in store for audiences. How similar, or not, this will be to Max Schreck’s original, and immortal, performance as well as cinematic madman Klaus Kinski’s celebrated portrayal of cinema’s original vampiric figure only adds further to the excitement of one of the biggest cinema horror releases in quite some time.
Also starring Lily- Rose Depp, Nicholas Hoult, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Emma Corrin and regular Eggers collaborator Willem Dafoe, lucky US audiences will get to celebrate the birth of Christ by seeing Nosferatu at the pictures on the 25th of December, while UK audiences can nurse their hangovers in the darkness with the great vampyre on New Year's Day.
