PIGEON SHRINE FRIGHTFEST

THE UK’S HOME OF HORROR IS CELEBRATING 25 YEARS

Well, that’s a wrap for another year. Hoards of horror fans descended upon London for five days of horror with UK, European and World premieres screening from dusk ‘til dawn as FrightFest, sponsored by Pigeon Shrine,  took over Leicester Square to celebrate its 25th anniversary. Relocating to the Odeon Luxe, FrightFest showcased a diverse mixture of genre cinema from across the globe on the cinemas main screen as well as the Discovery strand taking over the extra screens.

Kicking off on Thursday the 22nd with the world premiere of Joanne Mitchell’s psychological horror BROKEN BIRD and closing with Coralie Fargeat’s award winning THE SUBSTANCE starring Demi Moore in a career best performance along with Margaret Qualley in this eagerly awaited body horror satire on Monday the 26th. In between, a wealth of cutting edge genre cinema could be found in a jam packed programme that demonstrates why FrightFest is regarded as one of the world’s finest horror film festivals and the dark heart of cinema.
